Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern for authorization

                  This list is the European Union’s Directive 1907/2006 (REACH) of SVHC’s (Substances of

Very High Concern). There are 235 substances total, organized in sections of the month and year

that they were official placed on the candidate list. Inclusion on this list does not necessarily mean

that these substances are banned in the EU but have been included for future study and action.

          RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances, and impacts the entire electronics

industry and many electrical products as well. The original RoHS, also known as Directive

2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union in 2002 and restricts the use of six hazardous

materials found in electrical and electronic products. All applicable products in the EU market

since July 1, 2006 must pass RoHS compliance.

          ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in

the family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). It can be used by any

organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact, there are over one million

          ISO 14001:2015 is intended for use by an organization seeking to manage its environmental

responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to the environmental pillar of sustainability.

          ISO 14001:2015 helps an organization achieve the intended outcomes of its environmental

management system, which provide value for the environment, the organization itself and

interested parties. Consistent with the organization's environmental policy, the intended outcomes

          The Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) is the world’s largest corporate social responsibility

coalition in global industry supply chains. Almost all electronics companies source components

from multiple suppliers across the world, and it can be challenging to ensure that all those suppliers

follow best practice when it comes to the principles of corporate social responsibility.
